November 20, 2009 Today the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, which receives and distributes the vaccine supply, informed us that they have not received an expected shipment of vaccine this week, and that as a result there are children in Franklin County who have still not received vaccine. We in Shutesbury have been asked to share the vaccine we have in hand with the Franklin Regional Council of Governments so that some of these children may be vaccinated. THE BOARD OF HEALTH IS ASKING HEALTHY ADULTS AGES 19 - 49 TO WAIT A LITTLE LONGER FOR THEIR VACCINATION. Those who are willing to wait can get on a waiting list at the clinic on November 21 or at Town Hall and will be notified when additional vaccine is received.
